Crumpler Camera Bags

As many of my listeners know, I am a bit of a shutterbug and recently I purchased a new Sony Alpha 100 DSLR camera.

One thing I have learned over the years is that having a good and functional camera bag is crucial when it comes to being mobile with your camera gear.

CrumplerI recently acquired a very nice bag from Crumpler. This bag is called the 4 Million Dollar Home.

This particular bag is sized to hold a standard sized DSLR camera like a Nikon D80 or similar and 2 lenses, one attached to the camera and a second in a resizable pocket.

It’s a sturdy and tight bag that holds the camera quite snugly and is very comfortable to wear. One thing I really like about it is that it doesn’t look like so much like a camera bag which I find is a plus because I don’t neccessarily want to broadcast that I am toting camera gear.

They make smaller bags for pocket sized cameras and the sizes go all the way up to backpack styles designed to carry everything you might need for an all out photographic safari.

Check out their web site at crumplerbags.com. Not only will you see some great bags, but the sight is rather entertaining. Based out of Australia these guys seem to not take themselves too seriously and have put forth a lot of effort to make their site fun to navigate and explore.

Consider the description posted for my particular bag:

This is, hmmm, oh my oh my, what a lovely home. The chandelier is just to die for. Whoops, there it goes, coming down – Oh, darling, are you alright? Here, better sign your will . . .

So, yea…they’re a bit wacky. But they make a fine product and already realize that at the rate I am accessorizing my new camera I will need to upgrade to the 5 or 6 Million Dollar Home before my trip next year.
