DEFCON 23 Debrief Geek Gathering – Friday, August 14

august2015gg

Most of the Technology Bytes crew will be making the annual pilgrimage to attend the DEFCON Hacking Conference in Las Vegas on the First Friday of August so we’re pushing the local gathering to the second Friday. Jay, Barrett and phliKtid will be bringing back stories and goodies to share from the worlds largest geek gathering.

We will be meeting at Khon’s Wine Darts And Coffee located at 2808 Milam.

There’s plenty of free parking and Khon’s offers a great beer and wine selection with many dining options nearby.

The event starts around 7:30 and goes until ?

You don’t have to be a geek to attend. Heck, you don’t even have to be a current listener of the show. This event is a casual meet-up for anyone interested in technology or social media in all its forms and a great opportunity to just hang out with like minded individuals.

There is no need to RSVP, but if you have a Facebook account you can let us know you’re coming at the Facebook Event Page

We hope to see you there!

ProxyHAM now Unavailable

Pete mentioned this a few weeks ago. The official DEF CON statement is as follows: “Right now, there isn’t much information being made public about the proxyham talk cancellation. What statements there are indicate that development of the product is halted, current stock is being destroyed and the source and documentation are not going to be made available. If more information becomes available, we’ll share whatever we can.”
